Claude Andréa Bonny has become an influential and unifying voice within Ottawa’s Francophone and multicultural community. Through her leadership, media presence, and commitment to civic engagement, she has helped strengthen the social, cultural, and community fabric of the nation’s capital while inspiring others through authenticity, resilience, and service.
A graduate of the Public Relations program at La Cité in 2018, Claude Andréa transformed her expertise in communications into a powerful tool for community impact. Recognized for her professionalism, warmth, and ability to connect people, she has become a sought-after host and moderator for many of Ottawa’s most significant Francophone and civic events.
Among her notable contributions, Claude Andréa hosted the Franco-Ontarian resistance rally, a defining moment of mobilization in support of linguistic rights, as well as the inauguration of the Maison de la francophonie d’Ottawa, an important cultural and community hub for Francophones in the city. She has also hosted the Bernard Grand-Maître Awards Gala, the Vanier Snowflake Breakfast, and the congress of the Assemblée de la francophonie de l’Ontario. Through collaborations with the Institut du savoir Montfort, she has further contributed to promoting Francophone expertise and dialogue in healthcare and community development.
Beyond hosting events, Claude Andréa creates meaningful spaces for dialogue and inclusion. Her ability to elevate diverse voices and foster authentic conversations has strengthened community engagement and reinforced a sense of belonging among Ottawa residents. As a media professional and content creator, she is recognized for conducting thoughtful and human-centered interviews that bring institutions closer to communities and amplify perspectives that are often underrepresented.
Claude Andréa is also a passionate speaker and mentor. Through conferences and community engagements, she addresses important topics including mental health, leadership, the immigrant experience, and the representation of Black women in media. Her presentations encourage resilience, confidence, and civic participation, particularly among youth and young women seeking to find their voice and place within society.
In 2025, she expanded her impact through the publication of her first book, CELLE QUI NE SAVAIT PAS OÙ ALLER: Finally Found Herself…, a deeply personal work centered on identity, healing, and self-discovery. The book has sparked important conversations within Ottawa’s Francophone community about resilience, purpose, and empowerment.
