Trina Costantini-Powell
Research and Nominations Committee Chair
Trina Costantini-Powell worked as a media analyst for 35 years with the Library of Parliament. She is currently President of the National Congress of Italian Canadians (National Capital District) and 2nd Vice President of the National Congress of Italian Canadians (National Level).
For over 25 years, she has volunteered for a number of organizations including Co-Chair of St. Anthony of Padua 100th Anniversary Centennial Book Project called A Journey of Faith: A History of St. Anthony of Padua Church: 1913-2013; former 1st Vice-President of Italian Week, former President of St. Anthony’s Ladies Aid, and former Chair of FILO. She currently sits as a Director on the Dalhousie Food Cupboard Advisory Board.
Her awards and achievements include, Recipient of the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers (2017); Recipient of the Provincial Leading Girls, Leading Women Award (2014); and, Recipient of the Ottawa Women’s Filo Award for Community Service (2010).
