Maria Ricci

Chair

For over 35 years, Maria Ricci has worked as a professional consultant in the areas of marketing, fund raising and event planning for a diverse client base of charitable and cultural organizations across Ontario.

Her volunteer experience spans over 40 years and includes, past Co-Chair of Fundraising for Villa Marconi Long-Term Care Centre and founder of its Raising the Roof Corporate Gala; originator of a successful World Record during a community event that she founded and Chaired called “ItalFest”; former Board Secretary for the Kiwanis Club of Orleans; former Board Secretary, Chair of Advertising, and Chair of Fundraising for the Gloucester Fair; and, as a former Board Director and Treasurer of Tele-30.

Further, she served for six years on the Shaw Centre Board of Directors and as a Member of the Finance Committee; and, in 2019, she was Chair of the Facilities and Business Development Committee until the end of her appointment.

She is currently a Board Director of Pellegrini Opera and an activist in her community’s safety as a Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator.

In 2013, Maria was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
