
Isobel Boyd
Women of Inspiration
Isobel Boyd is a dedicated youth and women’s empowerment advocate. She co-founded YOUth Heroes, a youth-led initiative that in partnership with YouthREX created city-recognized programs such as NOISE: Superhero School, an after-school program for historically underserved youth and Superhero Week celebrating local changemakers.
Building on this work, Isobel joined The Empow(Her) Network in 2019, a non-profit dedicated to empowering young women through mentorship, workshops, and leadership development. She helped organize events such as the Empow(Her) Conference, networking sessions, and community discussions on financial literacy, democracy, and authenticity in leadership.
In 2022, Isobel began volunteering with Periodontal Associates of Ottawa, applying her background in communications to raise awareness about oral health.
Isobel’s work is grounded in building inclusive, supportive spaces where young people and women can thrive. She has received numerous accolades, including the United Way East Ontario Community Builder Award, was named an Emerging Leader by The Peak and is a recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal.
Through her leadership, volunteerism, and advocacy, Isobel exemplifies a commitment to community building and social impact.
